Process Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business in the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will lead the development of a novel manufacturing process for a key product. The role will be technically challenging and involve interaction with several business units, customers and technical experts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The key tasks and duties of the process engineer will include:

  • Research into new manufacturing processes

  • Direct involvement in the design, build and installation of the new manufacturing facilities at Collooney.

  • Direct involvement in the qualification and validation of the new manufacturing processes.

  • Responsible for the scale-up of existing products within the new manufacturing facilities.

  • Responsible for bringing new products online through the new facilities.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

This is fixed term contract for 18 months.

Development Chemist

We now require a Development Chemist to join our product development team. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing synthetic chemical and purification processes for our new product pipeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Development Chemist will work closely with our QC, and Production functions in developing safe, cost effective, reliable manufacturing processes delivering high quality products. This is a role which involves mainly laboratory work, both synthetic and analytical.

Education and Experience

Production Chemist

We now require a Production Chemist to join our manufacturing team. You will play a key role in chemical synthesis and purification processes for our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manufacture products in line with Batch Manufacturing Procedures and cGMP guidelines.

  • Documentation of all manufacturing activities by completion of batch manufacturing records, supporting documentation and equipment logbooks.

  • Document any deviations from approved procedures and assist Production Manager and Quality Assurance in the investigation of same.

  • Meet manufacturing targets while maintaining compliance with SOPs, Batch Manufacturing Procedures and cGMP guidelines.

Quality Control Analyst

We now require a QC Analyst to join our quality team. You will play a key role in analytical release and stability testing of products manufactured on site at TopChem Pharmaceuticals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine release of raw materials, APIs and intermediates.

  • Participate in activities associated with analytical method and process validations.

  • Complete Stability testing.

  • Participate in quality and continuous improvement activities within the QC Laboratory.
